Novice Program

Requirements:

This MMC Program is open to all rising 8th graders and up that have no experience, or limited experience rowing. The Novice Program is designed for the individual that wants to learn how to row or build on a limited skill set.

Athletes are expected to be committed to the program. Attendance is mandatory.

Selection:

While there are no try-outs for the Novice Program, space is limited and will be on a first come- first served basis, taking into consideration school and gender balance as necessary. Filling out the registration form does NOT guarantee you a spot in the program. All participants will be notified of their status by Friday, August 27, 2021.

DATES:

Runs: Monday August 30 - Monday, November 1

Practice: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 4:45 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Practice Location: Algonkian Regional Park, 47001 Fairway Dr., Sterling, VA 20165

Mandatory Swim Test: August 31 | Claude Moore Pool | 6:00 p.m.

Tentative-One regatta, date TBD (4 weeks notice will be given)
